Each member of the Optimum Ship Management team is a qualified mariner with an average of 25 years’ experience or a university graduate with a degree related to his or her area of expertise. Our Marine Operations Department is manned by active Master Mariners with extensive command experience on passenger ships. Our officers have an average of ten years’ experience, while our crew members average 20 years at sea. We work with the finest maritime academies worldwide, including academies in Greece, the Philippines and the UK.
We promote from within, which means our staff progresses through the ranks. We only hire officers and above who have had at least three years in their rank to join our team of committed mariners. All of our staff members, including officers and crew, pride themselves on their outstanding communications skills, both verbal and written.
