Capt. Koumpenas steers the management of Optimum and leads the entire team. He has over 15 years sea going experience on passenger ships as officer and master with an additional equal number of illustrious years in shore based management.
He is a graduate of the National Merchant Marine Academy of Syros and a holder of a current master’s license. Capt. Koumpenas joined the company as master in 2004 and progressed to become VP of Fleet Operations.
